Done for Allegorithmic’s “A road Trip in 2116″ challenge.
An amphibious hover bike ultra light hoverbike.
Fast, but not really meant for racing, cornering, banking etc.
Chopper style seating for comfort during long road trips.
More like a luxury “big boy toy”.
I’m really not happy with the Modo render because it looks so CG, but it was hard to make the material look more realistic with so little grunge and wear.
-And by computer was busted for a week (HDD and RAM both died), so the background was a rush job.
I very much prefer the UE4 video without a background over the Modo render.
Painter is GREAT for props. The placement of grunge and wear is a lot more intimate, and organic, compared to substance designer. Painting on the model and seeing results feels so much more natural and responsive compared to Designer.
But when it comes to creating textures en masse, like a cohesive environment, I think Substance Designer is the way to go.
